-Any organisation which is not a political body or associated with political organition.

- Can receive Foreign fundings and thereby allowed under foreign contribution regulation act.

Basics purpose of FCRA ( Foreign contribution regulation act)

  1. Regulates foreign donations entering India.
  2. And this basically done to ensure: 
  • Sovereignty and integrity of India 
  • Security, Strategic, Scientific or Economic interest.
  • Public interest.
  • Freedom of fairness of elections to any Legilature.
  • Friendly relations with foreign state.
  • Harmony between social, religious, racial, linguistics, Regional groups Caste or community.
  • Shall not endanger life or physical safety of persons.
Who are prohibited to receive foreign conribution ?
  1. candidate for election.
  2. correspondent, columnist, cartoonist, editor, owner, printer, publisher
  3. judge, government servant or employee of any coorperation or any other body controlled or owned by the government.
  4. member of any egislature.
  5. political party or office bearer thereof.
  6. organisation of a political nature as may be specified by the central government.
  7. association or company engaged in production
