FOREIGN FUNDING
-Any organisation which is not a political body or associated with political organition.
- Can receive Foreign fundings and thereby allowed under foreign contribution regulation act.
Basics purpose of FCRA ( Foreign contribution regulation act)
- Regulates foreign donations entering India.
- And this basically done to ensure:
- Sovereignty and integrity of India
- Security, Strategic, Scientific or Economic interest.
- Public interest.
- Freedom of fairness of elections to any Legilature.
- Friendly relations with foreign state.
- Harmony between social, religious, racial, linguistics, Regional groups Caste or community.
- Shall not endanger life or physical safety of persons.
Who are prohibited to receive foreign conribution ?
- candidate for election.
- correspondent, columnist, cartoonist, editor, owner, printer, publisher
- judge, government servant or employee of any coorperation or any other body controlled or owned by the government.
- member of any egislature.
- political party or office bearer thereof.
- organisation of a political nature as may be specified by the central government.
- association or company engaged in production
